On The Job Hunt

This year before deciding on a Public Relations/ International Relations Major I definitely spent time researching potential internships and jobs. Since then, I have been addicted to using job search sites such as Indeed and Linkedin.

I am hoping to end up landing an internship/career in a big city such as Boston, DC, Chicago, LA, NY, etc. So these are some jobs and internships that I found through Indeed and Linkedin and what kinds of things they require.

1.) Communication Specialist, Unicef, New York, NY


Full-time, Entry Level

Master’s degree; 5+ years of relevant professional experience.

Knowledge of United Nations is a plus.

Knowledge of a second language is desired.

2.) Marketing Communications Internship, Boston Children’s Hospital, Boston, MA


Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge of Office Suite and social media.

College credit can be earned, but is an unpaid internship.

3.) Public Relations Intern, Eyes on Refugees, Boston, MA


Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of Public Relations experience is required.

Knowledge of Arabic is a bonus.

4.) Public Relations Assistant, Eminence Management Inc, Grand Rapids, MI


Entry level position.

1-2 years experience or training in public relations, promotions, marketing or customer service preferred, but not required.

Exceptional communication, management, and organizational skills.

5.) Public Relations and Entertainment Marketing Intern, Unicef, New York, NY


Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and preparing presentations.

Should have a solid understanding of the Marketing field and strong written and oral communication skills.
